Installation Guide: 3-Step Setup for Sprinter Brake Light Camera:

Step 1: Remove the Factory Brake Light

  • Locate: Use a T25 Torx screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the original third brake light lens at the top rear of your Mercedes Sprinter.

  • Disconnect: Gently pull the lens out and unplug the factory power connector from the light bulb/LED strip.

  • Clean: Wipe the mounting area to ensure a watertight seal for the new camera housing.

Step 2: Route the Video Cable

  • Through the Roof: Thread the 10-meter (or 15m) aviation cable through the brake light opening into the vehicle's interior.

  • Concealment: Run the cable along the roofline or floor edge, hidden behind the interior trim panels, all the way to the dashboard/monitor location.

  • Power Connection: * Connect the camera's power wires to the Reverse Light circuit (DC 12V) so the camera activates automatically when you shift into reverse.

    • Tip: Red to Positive (+), Black to Ground (-).

Step 3: Mount the Camera & Test

  • Plug & Play: Connect the new camera's connector to the routed video cable. Reconnect the original brake light power plug to the new camera's integrated LED strip.

  • Secure: Push the camera housing into the original slot and tighten it using the original screws.

  • Final Check: Turn on the ignition, shift into Reverse, and check the monitor for a clear 1080P image. Adjust the camera lens angle if necessary to see your rear bumper or hitch
