Heavy-Duty Heated Backup Camera

Product Description

Heavy-Duty Heated Backup Camera: Thermostat-Controlled with IR Night Vision

Engineered for Sub-Zero Extremes, Heavy Fleets & Cold-Chain Logistics

Operating commercial fleets, heavy excavators, and refrigerated logistics vehicles in sub-zero environments poses serious safety risks due to lens frost, snow accumulation, and rapid temperature-induced condensation.

The Standtop Heavy-Duty Heated Camera integrates an automatic internal thermostat heating system with high-output infrared night vision. Equipped with a protective sun and snow visor and a heavy-duty mounting bracket, it delivers continuous, unobstructed visibility in dense fog, freezing blizzards, and cold storage operations.

Product Features

  • Internal Thermostat-Controlled Auto-Heating:

Built-in thermal sensor automatically triggers internal heating when ambient temperatures drop below +5°C (41°F) and safely cuts power once reaching ≥ +50°C (122°F)  , preventing lens freezing, frost buildup, and moisture condensation while conserving vehicle power.

  • 18 High-Power IR LEDs for Clear Night Vision:

Equipped with 18 high-efficiency 850nm infrared LEDs and an integrated optical isolation ring to deliver crisp, clear monochrome vision in pitch-black environments without internal lens glare or halo artifacts.

  • Protective Sun & Snow Visor with Heavy U-Bracket:

The top-mounted hood physically deflects falling snow, sleet, mud, and overhead sunlight glare, while the heavy-duty U-bracket ensures secure, vibration-resistant mounting on commercial chassis.

  • IP69K Complete Weatherproof Rating:

Hermetically sealed to withstand high-pressure steam power washings and deep sub-zero conditions from -40℃~70℃

Target Applications & Commercial Fleets

  • Cold-Chain & Refrigerated Transport: Solves immediate lens fogging and moisture condensation as refrigerated trucks transition between sub-zero cold storage facilities and humid loading docks.

  • High-Latitude & Sub-Zero Winter Fleets: Delivers reliable rear visibility for snowplows, municipal gritters, and long-haul transport operating across North American winter belts, Northern Europe, Eastern Europe, and Alpine regions.

  • Heavy Construction & Mining Equipment: Built to withstand continuous mechanical vibration, abrasive dust, and extreme sub-zero weather on excavators, wheel loaders, and dump trucks.

  • Agricultural & Utility Vehicles: Provides clear reversing and blind-spot coverage in frozen fields, barns, and high-pressure cleaning routines.

Heavy-duty heated backup camera applications: winter maintenance snow plow, commercial freight truck, mining heavy plant, and cold storage forklift

FAQ Section

  • Q1: How does the internal thermostat heating work in cold weather?

A: The camera features a built-in thermal sensor that automatically initiates heating when the temperature drops to +5°C (41°F) . Once the internal cavity reaches +50°C (122°F), the heating shuts off automatically to maintain balanced operating temperature and conserve vehicle power.

  • Q2: Does this model suffer from infrared glare or reflection at night?

A: No. The camera integrates an internal optical isolation ring between the lens and the 18 IR LEDs, ensuring infrared light projects cleanly through the front glass without creating foggy backscatter or halos in night vision mode.

  • Q3: What commercial vehicles benefit most from this heated camera?

A: It is widely used on refrigerated trucks, cold-chain transport, snowplows, agricultural machinery, and heavy construction equipment operating in freezing, humid, or sub-zero climates.
